Description:
Comfrey comes in as many as twenty different varieties. It is a dense
hairy plant with either white, pink or purple flowers. Comfrey is
decorative as well as
medicinal.
Character: Cool, Moist, and sweet.
Constituents: Mucilage, Steroidal, Allenton, Tannins, Alkaloids,
B12 and protein.
Actions: Cell proliferate, astringent, expectorant, wound healing,
and bone forming.
Cultivation: Hardy perennial growing up to five feet tall.
Tolerates all soil. Deep rooting plant. Cuttings to be taken in late fall
or early winter. Harvest.

Body Parts Effected: All external areas. All internal parts.
Compatible Herbs: Plantain, Horsetail, Mint, and Cayenne.

Cautions: If used on an open wound make sure wound is clean because
of its fast healing action there could form an infection.
It is advised that if you take internally that you be careful not to over
take this herb. It is also known that you would have to ingest over one
