Breath
Here we are again talking about the one thing that keeps all
life alive. We need to focus on certain types of breath to achieve certain
things in are lives. To many one just breathes and does not think about it
or the results. To these people as long as it goes in and out they are
alive and that is all it mounts to. The true be known it is far from the
truth. Much, much, more happens during the inhale and the exhale. If one
looks at the whole process it starts to take on a whole new idea and more
starts to happen.
Let us look at a normal breath. What happens, First you are
inhaling and air is pulled into your lungs by your diagram and held for a
very small time, than exhale pushes out the bad toxic air so you may start
the cycle all over again. Ok that is the basic breath so what. Lets change
it a small amount and find out what happens.
You have just woke up from sleep and the first thing you do is take a
larger than normal breath. You did this without knowing you did it
because your brain told your body that you need more air to move more
muscles to arise. Next most people would stretch and that takes even more
air but you do it without thinking than you will mostly exhale a sudden
rush of air, Why? There must be balance in the body even in the in and out
of air.
Now you are breathing shallow an faster than you should , but that is what
everyone is doing now days. THIS AS GOT TO CHANGE IF YOU WISH TO LIVE A
LONG LIFE.
We will start with basic breathing today. I wish for you to each try at
least twice in the following month to achieve a better breathing pattern.
Basic Breathing
First inhale to a silent count of four
Hold for a silent count of four
Exhale for a silent count of eight
Experience your breath
Think of only your breath & the rhythmic cycle of your breathing
Do this exercise for 10 minutes daily for 30 days
Now you may experiment on this breath cycle.
Always inhale for four
Always hold for four or eight
Now stretch your exhale to other numbers 8, 16, 32,
The right number of counts for you is the number that releases your inner
resistances and relaxes and revitalizes you.
FOUNDATION BREATHING OR PYRAMID BASE (very hard for beginners)
Inhale though your nose & allow the air to flow directly and completely to
your diaphragm
Time your breath to a silent count of seven
Hold for a count of seven
Place your tongue lightly against the roof of your mouth
Now exhale though your mouth to a silent count of seven.
There should be a gentle hissing sound
Hold for another silent count of seven before inhaling again.
Do for a minimum of 5 minutes
Use full information:
The average person breaths 16 to 18 times a minute
Idea breathing is 11 to 13 breathes a minute
The faster you breath the less you feel
At 26 breathes a minute you feel no pain
On the other side the slower you breath the more you feel and
the great your interaction with the universe
At 10 breaths per minute,
for five minute interval your mind becomes very clear and ready to work
At three breathes per minute,
The vibratory level of your body becomes subdued and harmonized.
Great creative achievements occur at this level.
At one long steady breath per minute
for five minutes or more the level of concentration you experience, defy
